| Good morning LAMS families, This week we have Connections Conferences. Please use ParentSquare to sign up for a time to meet with and connect with your scholar's advisory teacher. This is a chance for our teacher team to learn from the experts. You and your scholar! By learning more about your scholar the better we can support your scholar in learning and growing. Please note that students will be released at 1:30 p.m. each day this week Monday through Friday for Connections Conferences. i-Ready begins this week! Please support your scholar by making sure they come to school rested and with a fully charged Chromebook. Scholars should eat a healthy breakfast at home or can enjoy breakfast with us starting at 8 a.m. in the LAMS kitchen/cafeteria. We look forward to you celebrating all the growth our scholars are about to make. You’ve got this, Falcons! This week on Tuesday, August 18th we will be having Club Rush at lunch. Scholars will have an opportunity to learn about and sign up for different clubs. Scholars don't have to pick just one club. They can be a part of as many clubs as they can fit in their schedule! This week we have our second round of sports tryouts. Please refer to the flyer above for dates and times. If your scholar is interested make sure they arrive with appropriate sports attire and water for the full tryout time. We have other sports tryouts to be announced soon including: 7th grade girls volleyball and cross country. So stay tuned! What amazing things will your scholar do this year? - Principal Hansen lhansen@mpusd.net |

In recent years, we have seen an increase in outside food delivery programs (Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc.) bringing food to students during the school day. This has caused significant disruption in a variety of ways. As a reminder the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District no longer allows outside food delivery to school campuses from delivery service companies. This was put into place in the 2023-2204 school year. Click here for more details. Advertise Your Company/Organization in the LAMS Gym! Looking for a new way to advertise your business/organization?
